T-Pellets & Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Testosterone Replacement Therapy & Testosterone Pellets

Testosterone replacement therapy utilizes testosterone pellets to improve symptoms associated with andropause and menopause. At Paukman BioAge Clinic, Dr. Paukman uses small implantable testosterone pellets that are placed under the skin and provide a consistent, reliable, continuous dose of testosterone. This is very natural to your body since your body is constantly exposed to testosterone. There are FDA approved testosterone pellets (testopel), but at Paukman BioAge Clinic, we use natural testosterone pellets that are compounded at an FDA approved (503B) outsourcing facility.

What is testosterone replacement therapy and Testosterone Pellets?

Testosterone pellet therapy, also known as Testosterone pellets, are a type of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). These BHRT pellets are custom-compounded hormones that are pressed into tiny pill-like pellets. The testosterone in Testosterone pellets is designed to act and be absorbed just like the testosterone your body naturally makes. Testosterone pellets can be inserted into the lower abdomen or the buttocks. Once inserted beneath the skin, pellet therapy is able to gradually release a consistent amount of testosterone so that there are no fluctuations in your testosterone levels.

Testosterone replacement therapy is very safe when done under the guidance of a trained physician who will closely monitor blood levels. Any negative side effects occur very rarely and are usually mild. Typically, Dr. Paukman can manage these minor complications with simple adjustments or dose changes.

What are the benefits of pellet testosterone replacement therapy?

Testosterone Pellet therapy offers a wide variety of benefits for patients suffering from low testosterone levels. A safe and effective treatment, pellet therapy offers a reliably continuous dose of testosterone delivery. Other forms of testosterone therapy include testosterone creams and pills. These forms of testosterone delivery are much less effective and do not supply continuous levels of testosterone that your body needs. Additionally, testosterone creams pose the risk of transferring levels of testosterone to friends and family that you may come in close contact with. Hormone replacement therapy with testosterone pellets does not have this risk.

Following implantation of Testosterone pellets, your body will begin to react to the testosterone, and blood levels will rise within just a few hours. Hormone therapy with Testosterone pellets is a trusted testosterone replacement therapy that requires no daily dosing. Once injected, Testosterone pellets offer a continuous release of testosterone that mimics your body’s natural production of this hormone for the best results possible. Testosterone has been used to treat male bone loss and anemia. Some studies have even shown improved outcomes in patients with heart disease undergoing testosterone replacement therapy. Many patients who have not found success from undergoing traditional forms of testosterone replacement therapy have found success with Testosterone pellets.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy for Men

Testosterone pellets for men can help ease hormonal imbalances associated with andropause. Testosterone in males is responsible for maintaining bone density, fat distribution, sex drive, sperm production, and more. After the age of 30, men experience a 1% decline in testosterone each year. Low testosterone in men is responsible for a reduction in libido, weight gain, mood swings, hair loss, erectile dysfunction, and more. Testosterone pellets for men can help increase libido, improve muscle tone, and enhance mood and mental health.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy for Women

Women experience low testosterone as they enter the early stages of menopause. During this stage the ovaries produce less testosterone and estrogen. Low testosterone in women can lead to an increased risk of osteoporosis, weight gain, and more. Testosterone pellets can help raise testosterone in women to ease symptoms and reduce the health risks associated with low T.

What symptoms can testosterone replacement therapy treat?

The effects of low testosterone levels can vary from patient to patient. While there are common symptoms that low T levels can cause, each case of low testosterone is different and may cause a variety of symptoms. Some of the most common symptoms of low testosterone are listed below for your convenience.

Low testosterone symptoms may include:

  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Low libido
  • Trouble achieving or maintaining erections
  • Insomnia
  • Mood swings
  • Weight gain
  • Infertility
  • Depression
  • Reduced muscle tone
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Bone loss
  • Forgetfulness
  • Inability to focus

Are Testosterone Pellet doses customizable?

Dr. Paukman can fully customize your dose of testosterone pellets to suit your particular needs. Each patient requires a different amount of testosterone to correct their deficiency, depending on how low their levels of testosterone are. The total quantity of Testosterone pellets will also vary from patient to patient. Dr. Paukman will meticulously study each patient’s case in order to prescribe the correct dosage of Testosterone pellets. If needed after hormone replacement therapy, Dr. Paukman can adjust your dose to a smaller or larger amount to better suit your individual needs.
